Six Decades of Fine Craftsmanship & Family Legacy
The Jewel World Philosophy
"Jewellery is not merely adornment —
it is memory cast in gold,
love set in stone."
In the winding lanes of old Ahmedabad, where the art of jewellery-making has been passed down through generations, Jewel World was born from a simple yet profound belief: that every piece of jewellery carries within it the spirit of the hands that shaped it. For over six decades, we have been those hands — patient, passionate, and precise.
We do not simply craft jewellery. We craft heirlooms — pieces meant to outlast lifetimes, to be unwrapped decades from now, to carry the scent of a wedding day or the warmth of a mother's blessing.
The Jewel World Family
Where It All Began
Six Decades of Excellence
1961
The BeginningIn the heart of Ahmedabad, a young artisan opened the doors of Jewel World with nothing but a jeweller's loupe, a lifetime of craft knowledge, and an unwavering dream — to create jewellery that would tell stories. The first workshop was small, but the vision was immense.
1975
Heritage CraftAs our reputation grew, we expanded our workshop and mastered the intricate arts of Kundan setting and Meenakari enamelwork — techniques that trace their lineage to Mughal courts. Jewel World became a custodian of heritage craftsmanship that was slowly disappearing elsewhere.
1988
Second GenerationThe second generation joined the workshop — young, trained in both traditional craft and modern design sensibility. They brought with them a fresh artistic vocabulary while honouring every technique passed down. This fusion of old and new became the signature of Jewel World.
2000
Diamond EraWith the new millennium came a new chapter. Jewel World introduced certified diamonds and Polki settings, partnering with certified gemologists to ensure every stone carried authenticity. We became known not just for gold — but for the precision and poetry of our diamond jewellery.
2010
Bridal LegacyOver the years, Jewel World became synonymous with the sacred moment of a bride adorning herself. Our bridal collections — crafted with specific attention to the symbolism, the weight, and the memory of each piece — became a trusted companion for families across Gujarat celebrating their most significant milestones.
Today
Living LegacyToday, Jewel World stands as one of Ahmedabad's most cherished fine jewellery destinations — three generations strong, thousands of families served, and an unwavering commitment to the belief that great jewellery is made slowly, carefully, and with love. Every piece we create carries sixty years of this promise.
Every jewel we make is touched by at least three generations of knowledge — and that is something no machine can ever replicate.
The Founding Principle
The philosophy of Jewel World has never wavered: craftsmanship is a living tradition. It must be felt in the weight of a necklace, seen in the precision of a setting, and remembered in the way a piece glows decades after it was made.
We apprentice our craftsmen for years before they touch a single jewel. Because some things simply cannot be rushed.
The Crafts We Honour
Six decades of practice have made us guardians of India's most intricate jewellery arts. Each craft we practise is a language — one that speaks of patience, of devotion, of a culture that measured beauty in time, not speed.
Kundan is the art of setting uncut gemstones — typically glass or precious stones — into a gold framework using refined gold foil called Kundan. Originating in the royal ateliers of Rajasthan and Mughal courts, this technique requires extraordinary precision: the craftsman works entirely by hand and eye, coaxing the stone into its gold nest with tools no more advanced than a wooden stick and steady breath. Each piece can take weeks to complete.
Meenakari is the ancient art of decorating metal surfaces with colourful, opaque enamels fired at high temperatures. The word 'Meena' derives from the Persian word for heaven — and indeed, a finely enamelled piece appears almost otherworldly. At Jewel World, our Meenakari work is executed on the reverse of Kundan pieces, creating jewellery that is beautiful on both sides — a secret garden of colour hidden beneath the stones.
Polki diamonds — flat, uncut diamonds in their natural form — carry within them all the depth and mystery of the earth. Unlike faceted diamonds, Polki stones are set to capture reflected light rather than refracted, creating a softer, more romantic luminosity. Our craftsmen are trained in both Polki setting (using gold foil beneath the stone to enhance its glow) and precision setting of certified brilliant-cut diamonds for contemporary designs.
At the heart of everything we create is gold — and not merely as a material, but as a medium of expression. Our 22KT gold is used for traditional pieces where richness and weight carry cultural significance. Our 18KT gold pieces allow finer detail and harder alloys for contemporary designs. Every piece passes through a rigorous quality standard — Hallmarked, tested, and signed off only when it meets the exacting standards our founders set in 1961.
The People Behind the Jewels
1961 — 1990
Master Craftsman · Visionary
He began with a single jeweller's bench and the knowledge inherited from a long line of artisans. His hands could shape gold into forms that made people pause. His greatest gift was not his craftsmanship alone — it was the values he built into every corner of this workshop: honesty, care, and the relentless pursuit of beauty.
1988 — 2015
Designer · Business Builder
The second generation brought formal training in design alongside their inherited craft. They expanded Jewel World's language — adding diamond expertise, introducing bridal collections, and growing the relationship with Ahmedabad's families into something that spanned not just purchases, but entire life stories. They built the trust that today sustains us.
2015 — Present
Modern Artisans · Legacy Bearers
The third generation grew up watching gold being shaped in the workshop below their home. They carry the weight of legacy lightly — honouring every tradition while embracing the evolving tastes of contemporary India. For them, the old ways are not a constraint. They are a foundation from which anything beautiful can be built.

What We Stand For
Craft First
We do not rush. A piece of jewellery worthy of being an heirloom cannot be made under artificial deadlines. Our craftsmen are given the time a piece demands — whether that is two days or two months. We believe the finest jewellery carries within it a stillness, a sense that it was made without hurry, and that quality is something you can feel in your hands.
Honest Trade
Since 1961, we have maintained a simple code: honesty above all. Every piece we sell is hallmarked and certified. Every gemstone is honestly graded. Our prices reflect the true cost of fine craft — nothing more, nothing less. We have seen families return to us across three generations, and we know that trust is the only currency that truly appreciates with time.
Memory Making
The jewels we make will one day be unwrapped from tissue paper, held up to a window, and remembered. They will carry the scent of a wedding or the quiet weight of a mother's love. We are acutely aware that we are making objects that will outlive us all — and we take that responsibility with reverence, designing and crafting as though future generations are watching.
Living Heritage
We do not preserve old techniques by locking them in glass cases. We keep them alive by practising them — daily, in our workshop, in the hands of our craftsmen. Heritage, for us, is not something to be displayed. It is something to be worn. Every Kundan set, every Meena enamel, every Polki stone we use keeps a centuries-old conversation alive between maker and wearer.
An Invitation
Every family has a story. Every occasion has a jewel waiting to mark it. We would be honoured to be the craftsmen who translate your story into gold, into stone, into something that will be treasured long after this moment passes.
